I have read and understand the objectives and goals of the Red Lion Youth Football Association and its policies. I also realize there is a risk of being injured that is inherent in all sports. This risk maybe severe including the risk of fractures. Brain injuries, paralysis and possible death. In submitting this registration I hereby give my child permission to participate in the Red Lion Youth Football Program and release all sponsored bodies, their officers, league officials, committee members and referees all liabilities.

Red Lion Youth Football League is a full contact league consisting of evening practices, a preseason scrimmage, (2) Saturday morning games and (3) Sunday afternoon games at the High School Track field and (1) Saturday night game on Horn Field. The Sr. Bowl game for 6th graders will again conclude the season.

The league is open to all 4th, 5th and 6th grade athletes in the Red Lion School District. Each team is divided into both Varsity and Junior Varsity squads to increase participation. Our program is designed to prepare players to participate in the Red Lion Football Program. Players will run similar offensive plays used at higher levels in the program and learn a basic 4-4 defense. Our goal is to focus on fundamentals and developing player skills.

REGISTRATION, PHYSICALS & EQUIPMENT ISSUE
Monday, August 9th at the Senior High School (Enter at Auditorium)
  • Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm (last name) A thru M @ 6:00 pm & N thru Z @ 7:00 pm
  • Registration Fee: $70.00 (Register Online at redlionyouthfootball.com)
  • Physical Fee: $15.00 (cash only)
    * Due to the volume of physicals performed, the league encourages players to have physicals completed by a private physician during the summer prior to starting practice to avoid registration and equipment issue delays. Please provide a copy of your physician's physical form at time of registration.
PARENT/PLAYER ORIENTATION MEETING
Monday, August 16th at the Senior High School Commons Area (New Entrance)
  • Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
  • Agenda will include overview of league activities, begin fundraising program, introductions of coaching staffs, team meetings.

  • Begin the week of August 17th (after the Parent/Player Orientation Meeting)
  • Practice schedule and times are set by each team's Head Coach

* Team alignment for the 2010 season: Players in 5th and 6th grade will report to the team in which they participated in 2009. Incoming 4th graders will report to the team representing the school they currently attend. Players may elect to play at the school closest to their home, with prior approval from the league.
